$ 1AAabbbcctaylor.jpgSan Antonio Mayor Ivy Taylor was involved in car wreck that seriously injured four people. Not only did the mayor escape unharmed, but she forced her police security detail to place the wounded victim in handcuffs.

According to the Houston Chronicle, "Authorities say San Antonio's mayor was not hurt but four others were injured during a traffic accident.  KENS-TV reports ( ) Mayor Ivy Taylor was a passenger in a city vehicle that collided with a convertible at an intersection Saturday afternoon."

After the victim in the convertible was taken out of his handcuffs, he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

As reported by the Houston Chronicle, "San Antonio Police Department Chief Anthony Trevino says details are conflicting about who caused the accident. Some witnesses said the city vehicle had the right of way while others said the convertible did.  Trevino says the driver of the convertible got out and charged at officers who make up the mayor's security detail. Police say the man was briefly handcuffed until he calmed down."

Witnesses at the scene are disputing claims that the mayor was not at fault for the car wreck.
