Pro-business candidate Aecio Neves appears likely to get elected the next President of Brazil.

According to the Daily Telegraph of London, "Marina Silva, a popular environmentalist who finished third in the first-round of Brazil's presidential election, gave her endorsement on Sunday to the opposition candidate challenging President Dilma Rousseff in the Oct 26 run-off."

Marina Silva is quoted as saying that, "I will vote for Aecio and support him. I trust in the sincerity of the proposals of the candidate and his party, and I give to the Brazilian society the task to see that they are fulfilled."

As reported by the Telegraph, "The endorsement from Ms Silva comes as Ms Rousseff appeared to be in a tight race with Aecio Neves, a business-minded former governor who has promised to open Brazil's economy and boost its growth."

Mr. Neves has pledged to cut taxes and business regulations to boost a more free market-oriented Brazil.
