Michelle Obama Flubs Bruce Braley Name in Iowa

First Lady Michelle Obama hit the campaign trail to endorse Bruce Braley's bid for U.S. Senate. Nevertheless, she kept calling him "Bailey" on a stump speech and even the local Democrat Party partisan audience complained.

According to Fox News, "What’s in a name? For Michelle Obama, a whole lot of confusion. While campaigning in Des Moines, Iowa Friday for Democratic Senate candidate Bruce Braley, she referred to him multiple times as “Bailey” before she was corrected by someone shouting from the audience."

Michelle even claimed that Bruce Braley was a military vet, but the Democrat candidate never served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

As reported by Fox News, "The flub came despite a huge array of signs in the hall where she was speaking, all spelling Braley’s name correctly. The first lady also referred to Braley as a Marine Corps veteran, which he is not. Braley’s staff said she meant to refer to his late father, Byard Braley, a Marine who fought at Iwo Jima."

Jodi Ernst, a GOP congresswoman, is running against Bruce Braley for Senate in Iowa.
