A Libyan general is earning legendary heroic status for smashing Benghazi terror cells. Nevertheless, President Barry Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are criticizing Gen. Khalifa Haftar for allegedly "going rogue."

The BBC News reports that, "Libyan forces loyal to a renegade general have bombed government-funded Islamist militia in the eastern city of Benghazi. Witnesses say aircraft targeted a base of the February 17th Brigade, one of the main armed groups in the area."

Gen. Haftar is ignoring Obama's request to play nice with radical militant Islamists in Benghazi.

According to the BBC, "General Khalifa Haftar, a former army chief of staff under Col Muammar Gaddafi, has launched several recent attacks in Benghazi and Tripoli. He accuses the government of supporting terrorism, which the authorities deny."

Gen. Haftar is enjoying strong support and popularity from his fellow Libyans.
