Add Wives.jpgApparently, Sharia Law (Islamic rules) has spread to the predominantly Catholic country of Brazil. A Brazilian judge has ruled that men are legally permitted to marry more than one woman at a time.

The BBC News reports that, “a notary in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo has sparked controversy by accepting a civil union between three people.”

Claudia do Nascimento Dominques, public notary, has declared the man and his two wives deserves entitlement to family rights. She contends that there is nothing in the law to prevent and arrangement of Sharia Law.

Globo TV disclosed that the union had been formalized three months ago, but only became public this week.
