Ablaze Refinery.jpgVice President Elias Jaua of Venezuela announced that fire at the nation’s largest oil refinery has spread.

According to the BBC News, “he said a third tank was ablaze following Saturday’s explosion, which is now known to have killed 48 people.”

Henrique Caprilles, the opposition candidate in the forthcoming presidential election, blames the disaster on government inefficiency under President Hugo Chavez.

As reported by the BBC, “the president has ordered an urgent investigation into the blast.”

Mr. Capriles said, “when things aren’t done properly, with responsibility, then you have to prepare for the consequences.”
