Dallas Mardi Gras Masquerade on Saturday, January 26th at the House of Blues is going to be a night of complete partying.

“We are Mardi Gras and we are masquerade,” said Robin Cook and Shay Sampson co-chairs. “Think masks, crowns, hats, boas and feathers. The attire is Mardi Gras masquerade cocktail, so masks are a must!”

The evening’s festivities feature the very cool and hip VIP Lounge for underwriters in the Cambridge Room at the House of Blues, featuring a private show by The Project, Casino tables, featured cocktails and a special goodie bag.  There is New Orleans-style fabulous food, gambling, dancing, great silent auction items and the people watching is its own party.

Surrounding the band's stage and huge dance floor will be tables with seating for guests, gaming tables and bartenders pouring cocktails, wines and beer.

The co-chairs agree: “Dallas Mardi Gras Masquerade is one of our favorite charitable events. It’s festive and fun for everyone. Some people bring dates, some bring girlfriends or buddies. It’s a great party benefiting a great cause.”

The House of Blues will rock away to the powerful blues tunes from The Project , considered one of the premiere party bands in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The stage will be a very happening place.

Bring your friends and have a ball!

This exciting night would not have come together without our sponsors and fabulous committee. Special thanks go to honorary chairs, Mary Lou and Brian Derksen of Deloitte & Touche; fundraising chairs, Maggie Cooke and Katy Sevier; auction chairs, Hilary Shank and Molly Mackey and so many more.”

As a Junior League of Dallas volunteer, co-chair Robin Cook has assisted with the Family Place, Love for Kids, has participated on the Mardi Gras committee for the past few years and is also President/Owner of North Texas Gun Club, Inc.

“This Mardi Gras event funds six months of disaster relief and most people don't realize that the Red Cross volunteers assist with local and very personal emergencies on a daily basis,” Cook said. “The Red Cross makes a difference. I am honored to be a part of that and dedicated to making this year's Mardi Gras Masquerade the most successful year ever! It is also really one of THE most fun charity events of the year!”

All Red Cross services support the mission of helping families prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

“We are hopeful that the community will join us to ensure the American Red Cross has the necessary resources to continue providing ongoing relief efforts when the unexpected occurs,” said Shay Sampson, co-chair and Designer/Marketing Director at IBB Design Group Furniture Showroom and Design Expert for Good Morning Texas.

The Congressional Charter mandates two services: Disaster Services and Armed Forces Emergency Services.  In addition to these, the Dallas Area Red Cross offers a wide variety of humanitarian, educational and health and safety programs to the more than 4.1 million people in our twelve-county service area.

The party begins at 7:30 p.m. and lasts until midnight at the House of Blues in Dallas.  Tickets are $125 each, open to the public by advance purchase/reservation only. Reservations online here
