T'WAS THE EVE OF THE PLAYOFFS

T’was the eve of the Playoffs, a break for the ‘Boys

Speak up, quiet Gumbel; can’t ‘nouncers make noise?

The end zones are waiting; For offense? Safe harbor.

We’re voting ‘Less JuJo,’ more Marion Barber.

Wade pushes buttons, with motivational tricks

‘The Phillips 3-4’ should produce T-New picks.

Is our offensive line really second to none?

You’ll see in Hawaii, when they block out the sun.

A pick for Top Defender has gone quite awry,

If you don’t choose D-Ware as the D POY.

Some credit to Jerry, who is building a place

That’s even fresher than his fresh new fresh face.

Coach Wade whistles and shouts out his country hollers,

“Now, Flo! Bradie James! Roy, ‘nough with horse-collars!’’

“Now, Canty! Now, Ellis! Our tight end’s all that!’’

(Hey, Witten, from now on, please run with a hat.)

“Now, RedBall! Now D-Stew! This staff is a thrill!’’

Let’s please don’t lose coaches to that fat-ass Bill.

T.O.’s 15 touchdowns, it’s been a rare ride,

Much different from last year’s non-near-suicide.

With home-field advantage, ‘Boys avoid threat of mess,

Now zip it up, Tony, and please avoid Jess.

Dallas has wounds, and must heal to be whole,

But is seems like our birthright: To be in The Bowl.
