The Turtle Creek Chorale (TCC) will perform five holiday concerts on December 7, 8 and 9 at The Majestic Theatre in Dallas. “Children Will Listen” continues the Chorale’s mission of reaching new audiences and building bridges to the community, as these concerts feature 100 sixth grade students from the Richardson All-District Elementary Choir.

ChildrenWillListen.jpg"‘Children Will Listen’ is about teaching our youth well. They may not obey, but they do listen,” says Dr. Jonathan Palant, artistic director of the Turtle Creek Chorale. “Humanity and compassion will be present on our stage—reaching across all generations. Isn’t that what the holidays are about?”

The concert will include holiday music favorites and a visit from Santa Claus. Various members from Dallas’ Jewish community will also be on stage to light the candles of the Hanukah Menorah.

“This program celebrates cultural differences of our diverse city,” Palant explains.

There will also be a special one-hour matinee performance on December 8 at 2 p.m. at The Majestic Theatre. All proceeds from this program will benefit the Crystal Charity Ball ARCH Center at Children’s Medical Center.

The matinee performance offers free seating for patients, parents and staff of Children’s Medical Center. This special performance is also open to the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event and are free for children under 12, and $10.00 for adults. All proceeds will go directly to Children’s Medical Center

“As a private, not-for-profit pediatric hospital, Children’s relies on the generosity of the community to help fulfill its mission to make life better for children,” says Hudson Akin, Children’s Medical Center’s executive vice president of development. “It is through the philanthropic support of organizations, like the Turtle Creek Chorale – by donating toys and concert tickets to our patients and families and gifts to the hospital – that we are able to help the sick and injured children who need our care.”

“Children Will Listen” will be held on December 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m., and December 9 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at The Majestic Theatre in Downtown Dallas. Tickets can be purchased online at www.turtlecreek.org, by calling 877-SING-TCC or through Ticketmaster.
