President Obama signed regulations approved by the Republican Party-controlled Congress that weakened tech security for iPhones and Android-based smartphones. Accordingly, those who signed up for health insurance on the ObamaCare website are now more vulnerable to hacking.
Russia Today reports that, "Tech firms are rushing to fix a disastrous security flaw dubbed ‘FREAK’, stemming from the US government’s requirement of lower encryption standards, that for over a decade left millions of users visiting 'secured' websites exposed to potential attacks."
Apple must compy with the National Security Administration (NSA) to permit the U.S. government to spy on iPhone users.
According to Russia Today, "The entire weakness of the encryption design stems from Washington’s effort to regulate the export of products utilizing “strong” encryption. Now three decades later, as the export-grade encryption standard was never removed, such weak encryption could be pretty easily cracked, leaving clients’ devices potentially exposed."
Those using the Google search engine are at high risk of hacking too.
