EU Shuts Down British Power Plants
by Tom McGregor    Tue, Oct 21, 2014, 12:58 AM

Stringent European Union environmental regulations are forcing the shut down of power plants in Great Britain.

According to the Daily Telegraph of London, "Two more power plants are due to close by next winter under EU anti-pollution rules, making the UK even more vulnerable to blackouts if there are further incidents such as the Didcot fire."
