A massive solar power plant located in the Mojeve Desert, California has been zapping thousands upon thousands of birds to death as they fly in mid-air. The deadly solar cells have transformed the alternative energy source into 'Made in the USA' flying bird death machines.
The Houston Chronicle reports that, "Workers at a state-of-the-art solar plant in the Mojave Desert have a name for birds that fly through the plant's concentrated sun rays — "streamers," for the smoke plume that comes from birds that ignite in midair."
President Barry Obama is encouraging more green energy companies to build solar power plants, despite the needless slaughter of bird deaths.
According to the Houston Chronicle, "Federal wildlife investigators who visited the plant last year and watched as birds burned and fell, reporting an average of one "streamer" every two minutes, are urging California officials to halt the operator's application to build a still-bigger version."
Basically, the sun rays have been bouncing off the the solar platforms and zapping birds to death as they fly in mid-air.
