US Export-Import Bank Subsidizes Boeing Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Wed, Jul 23, 2014, 09:01 PM

Airplane manufacturer Boeing can enjoy receiving massive subsidies through the US federal government by taking generous loans from the Export-Import Bank of the United States.

According to the Daily Caller, "Between 2009 and 2013, the Export-Import Bank of the United States authorized more than $16 billion in loans and loan guarantees to 34 state-owned foreign airlines for the purchase of Boeing aircraft, according to an analysis by Heritage Action."

Boeing took part in lucrative deals when they sold planes to State-owned companies all over the world.

As reported by the Daily Caller, "Over the same period, the total value of loans and guarantees awarded by the bank was slightly less than $95 billion, of which Boeing customers accounted for just under $49 billion, or about 51 percent."

Boeing started to receive large grants from the government after the corporation moved its headquarters from Seattle to Chicago.
