Sen Menendez Claims Prostitutes Were Cuban Spies Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Tue, Jul 8, 2014, 03:59 AM

Sen. Robert Menendez (D.-NJ) is claiming to be a victim. He allegedly intended to purchase underaged prostitutes from the Dominican Republic, but he later discovered that these girls were Cuban spies.

Russia Today reports that, "A senior US senator has reportedly asked the Justice Department to investigate the Cuban government’s involvement in a plot to derail his political career by planting an explosive story regarding involvement with underage prostitutes."

Sen. Menendez is quoted as saying that, “From the moment that article about Senator Menendez was published, I suspected that it was an invention of Cuban intelligence, because that is the way they work. It is their modus operandi. They fabricate lies. They look to create intrigue.”

According to Russia Today, "Robert Menendez, the senior Senator from New Jersey and the chairman of the key Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, has been a staunch defender of the US policy of embargo over Cuba. As a Democrat, Menendez has even opposed the White House in protest of moves to relax restrictions over the Communist nation inserted into legislation."

Sen. Menendez is calling for greater transparency amongst prostitutes. He prefers tricks from the Dominican Republic, not from Cuba.
