President Barry Obama has embarked on a new strategy for his Pivot to Asia. He is de-commissioning numerous U.S. super carriers, deploying them to the scrapyards and recycling the materials for Green companies.
According to the Houston Chronicle, "Another Navy aircraft carrier is headed for a scrap yard in Brownsville. The Navy has awarded a contract — for one cent — to ESCO Marine of Brownsville to dismantle the decommissioned carrier ."
Obama, commander-in-chief of the US Armed Forces, is dismantling naval ships to usher in a new eco-friendly era where fighter jets get powered by solar panels.
As reported by the Houston Chronicle, "The the ship, now at Newport, Rhode Island, will be towed this summer to Brownsville. The Saratoga was decommissioned in 1994 after nearly 40 years of service, including tours in Vietnam and involvement in the first Iraq War. The ship also played key roles in the Cuban Missile Crisis and a standoff with the late Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi."
The Pivot to Asia might officially be renamed the Pivot to Green Jihad.
