British Labour Leader Ed Miliband is seeking a return of good ol' fashion Socialism for the United Kingdom. He has pledged to turn privately-owned railroad companies in the UK into State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) if he's elected the next prime minister of Great Britain.
The Daily Telegraph of London reports that, "Ed Miliband will authorise the biggest state intervention by a political party for a generation as he indicated that Labour could re-nationalise Britain’s railways."
Miliband is a firm believer in raising taxes and regulations for British businesses and views SOEs as the appropriate alternative to Capitalism.
According to the Telegraph, "The Labour leader said that he is “looking at all the options” and suggested that he could take back a number of railway lines back into public ownership."
British Railway Labor Unions have already endorsed Miliband's proposal.
