France Cashes in on African Blood Money Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Sat, May 3, 2014, 08:54 PM

To much of the world, France has earned notoriety for being called, "Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkeys," but many Africans paint a different portrait of them. Africans have expressed concerns that the French government seeks permanent political instability on the African continent, so that rogue French arms dealers can profit big time from genocidal wars.

According to France24, "As Rwanda marked 20 years since the genocide that killed 800,000 people in just over three months, President Paul Kagame reiterated his conviction that France was partly to blame for the slaughter, saying bluntly in French that "facts are facts."

Kagame is quoted as saying that, "People cannot be bribed or forced into changing their history, and no country is powerful enough – even when they think they are – to change the facts."

As reported by France24, "The passage of time should not obscure the facts, lessen the responsibility, or turn victims into villains," Kagame said in his speech at a commemoration ceremony in Kigali."

French arms dealers have allegedly raked in billions of dollars selling military weapons in Africa, in which warring armies are using the same French-made weapons against each other.

French bashing has still a great tradition in the USA. It would be better if you really complied with the facts which are far more complicated than these accusations suggest. Who are free of sin may throw a stone. Please examine the role of your own country, not only in Rwanda or the Congo, but also in Vietnam, Iraq, Chile or Nicaragua.
