As the White House pivots to Asia; Latin America leans on Russia.
According to the Voice of Russia, "On April 30, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Peru and meet with his Peruvian counterpart Eda Rivas and President Ollanta Humala, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports."
Latin America is turning against the United States and throwing their support for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As reported by the Voice of Russia, "It is expected that the two Foreign Ministers will discuss cooperation between Russia and Peru within the frameworks of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, the development of integrative processes in Latin America in a broad international context and the prospects of Russia’s political dialogue with multisided regional associations."
Latin American countries have agreed on deals for the Russian military to base some of their operations in the region.
