|CNN Too Cozy Relations with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel|

CNN sought to cast Chicago Rahm Emanuel, a Democrat, in a "positive light" as the star of its 'ChicagoLand,' eight part documentary series, intended to showcase the Windy City as an allegedly corruption-free, low crime and prosperous city. Needless to say, CNN suffered from low viewer ratings.
Breitbart reports that, "The Chicago Tribune gained access to over 700 emails between Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office and CNN. The emails detail a cozy relationship between the Democrat's office and the cable news network during the production of "Chicagoland," a low-rated eight-part cable series pitched to viewers as an unvarnished look at the city."
CNN claims to be an "objective cable news outlet," but it hired Hollywood Leftist icon, Robert Redford as executive producer of 'ChicagoLand."
According to Breitbart, "The emails tell the story of a cable news network coordinating with the mayor of a failing city who is also a rising Democrat star. The apparent goal of "Chicagoland" was for CNN to use its resources as a way to portray the "mayor in a positive light" at a national level and showcase Emanuel "as the star he really is."
Some critics of the CNN travel reporters' team have pointed out that CNN appears to be working too closely with tourism bureaus when conducting their reporting as well, leading some to assume that CNN is receiving major payoffs for broadcasting infomercials, intended to look like regular newscasts.
