When Sen. John McCain (R.-Az.) visited Kiev last December to endorse the Maidan Revolution, he boasted of his deep and abiding friendship with Ukrainian politician, Oleh Tyahnybok, a rabid neo-Nazi leader who blamed the Jews for the country's problems. Mr. Tyahnybok also sought to implement a national registry for all Jews in the Ukraine.

In April 2005, Oleh Tyahnybok signed a letter to then Ukraine President Yushchenko to initiate a parliamentary investigation to investigate so-called "criminal activities of organized Jewry in Ukraine."
According to Business Insider, "As , McCain was repeatedly photographed with Oleh Tyahnybok, the leader of the right wing nationalist party Svoboda."
When Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk of the Ukraine swept into power with the support of the US State Depatment in March, Oleh Tyahnybok also received special privileges to work with the current Kiev regime.
