by Tom McGegor    Mon, Apr 14, 2014, 09:28 PM

At the very moment US President Barack Obama announced a new red line on the Black Sea, Russian fighter jets flew nearby US Navy ships deployed to the region.

According to Fox News, "A Russian warplane made several close-range passes by an American warship in the Black Sea over the weekend, in what the Pentagon is calling a "provocative" move amid escalating tensions in the region."

The Russian fighter jet appeared unfazed by the US Naval power and even passed the US warship at near sea-level altitude.

As reported by Fox News, "The jet, a Russian Su-24, made numerous low-altitude passes on Saturday over the USS Donald Cook, a guided-missile Navy destroyer in the western Black Sea, the Pentagon confirmed."

President Barack Obama responded by announcing another red line on the Black Sea.
