BEIJING: First Lady Michelle Obama will be living large this week in China. She will be scheduled to spend the night in Beijing at the Westin Hotel near the 3rd Ring Road in Beijing, which is nearby the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. The average rate per night for a room is $7,000 US Dollars and that does not include hotel accommodations for the Secret Service.
Michelle Obama is refusing to answer questions from reporters claiming that she will be taking a cultural field trip with her daughters to China to buy silk dresses, jade jewelry and traditional Chinese ceramics. Her shopping spree could boost China's GDP at American taxpayers' expense.
Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D.-Tx.), who is known for saying, "I'm a queen and I deserve to be treated like one," will not be accompanying Michelle Obama on the China trip.
The US First Lady is launching a campaign to encourage the Chinese "To Get Moving." She will show them how to do so by going on shopping sprees to demonstrate how window shopping can be considered a proper exercise routine.
No word yet on whether Michelle and her daughters will be paying homage to the Tomb of Chairman Mao Tse-tung. Many say that Chairman Mao is a role model for President Barack Obama.
