Russia Shuts Down Failing Banks Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Tue, Mar 18, 2014, 03:12 AM

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared war on failing banks. Russia's Central Bank is cancelling the licenses of banks that fail to pay their debts in a timely manner.

According to the Moscow Times, "The Central Bank has revoked the licenses of three small Moscow-based banks, pressing its crackdown on money laundering and risky operations in the country's banking sector. The regulator said on Tuesday it had revoked licensees from three banks — Russky Zemelny Bank, S-Bank and Bank Stroikredit. It said it had also revoked the licence of ZAO MIGOM, which offered a money transfer service."

The banks in question have allegedly been involved in Islamist terror financing and other corrupt activities.

As reported by the Moscow Times, "Since Elvira Nabiullina, a former economy minister and aide to President Vladimir Putin, became Central Bank chief in June last year, the bank has stepped up a campaign to clean up the banking sector, whittling down Russia's hundreds of banks."

Russky Zemelmy Bank was allegedly involved in a $413 million scheme to finance al Qaeda.

Where is the UN in all of this Russia ordeal ?

Perhaps, still chasing after your story on the “Narcotics Scandal that the Rocked” the UN.
The UN probably has little time for this after the UNDT just found their own investigators in OIOS guilty of tampering with evidence in the UN Medical Dispensary narcotics scandal that rocked the UN. It is because of the Dallasblog that these cases are now public knowledge. AP Associated Press and USA Today broke this story on the Medical Department Narcotic Scandal last month that per media reports is still under investigation. Not to mention, the UN Cabaret Nurse/Singer who is still under investigation now as a result of being promoted twice against the organisation’s own UN Charters rules and reg’s. After reports of self-medicating with Valium this Cabaret Nurse/Singer obviously aided in the tampering with this evidence and got promoted in order to protect the UN image.
( Not uncommon ).

We Salute you Dallasblog.

We can hardly wait to hear the latest up to the minute news on this from the Dallasblog.
