Talk about a waste of taxpayers money, British scientists spent millions of dollars from a government subsidy to discover that people who enjoy eating more could become obese.
The Daily Telegraph reports that, "It may please their loving parents to see them tucking into their food but babies that show a hearty appetite are more likely to suffer obesity later in life, scientists have warned."
British scientists had noticed that people with a bigger appetite tended to eat more.
According to the Daily Telegraph, "Infants who show more willingness to eat when tempting food is placed before them and who take longer to feel full grow unusually fast for their first 15 months, the study found."
To verify their claims that eating more could lead to obesity, British scientists closely monitored the eating habits of 2,258 ten-year-olds.
