Why ask why? Beer thieves in the Houston suburb of Friendswood have allegedly engaged in nightly raids of garages to loot beer and liquour.
The Houston Chronicle: "Somebody has been breaking into Friendswood-area garages to swipe beer and liquor from refrigerators since October, according to Friendswood police. Friendswood Police Department spokeswoman Lisa Price said the last reported beer theft was Monday, in the 1100 block of Glenshannon."
Ms. Price is quoted as saying that, "They are stealing whatever alchool they can, be it beer or whatever."
According to the Houston Chronicle, "On Jan. 16, another man called Friendswood police to report a man wearing dark clothes running from his home. The homeowner was alerted to activity outside his home by his barking dog. He had been robbed of alcohol from his garage recently, he said, and suspected the suspect was going back for seconds."
The Frendswood Police Department suspect that the beer thieves are connected to a gang of locals, who have stolen mojitos last October. Hence, they have been dubbed the 'Mojito Mafia' in the Houston area.
