Moscow has implemented more isolationist trade policies and has launched a major Trade War against the small nation of Estonia.
According to Pravda, "On January 9, the Russian Federal Service for Agricultural Control (Rosselkhoznadzor) banned the shipments of dairy and fish products from eleven companies in Estonia."
Russian officials claim that Estonia does not take adequate food safety measures to inspect for antibiotics in its dairy products.
As reported by Pravda, "Sergei Dankvert, the head of the service, said that the decision to restrict the shipments was made following the inspection of dairy and fish companies in Estonia."
However, Russia has recently dropped its ban on dairy products from Lithuania.
