The Japanese Dumplings' Wars are heating up as a lone assassin has shot and killed Takayuki Ohigashi, the president of dumplings' restaurant chain.
According to the Japan Times, "The president of a Kyoto-based chain of “gyoza” (dumpling) restaurants was shot to death Thursday morning in front of his company, according to the police."
The alleged assassin is suspected to be a Yakuza member, who led a gang of 10 nudists to shake down dumplings restaurants in the city of Kyoto.
As reported by the Japan Times, "Takayuki Ohigashi, 72, president of Ohsho Food Services, which runs the Gyoza no Ohsho chain, was shot in a parking lot in front of the company’s headquarters in Yamashina Ward, Kyoto, police said. The shooter fled and could not be identified."
Millions of Japanese dumplings' fans are mourning the untimely death of Takayuki Ohigashi.
