New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a Republican, loves to talk about cutting education spending for the Garden State, but that won't stop him from traveling by helicopter at taxpayers' expense; instead of using a car to make re-election campaign stops.
According to the Houston Chronicle, "Shore kids wowed by gov.'s copter, White House pals. The fact that their school recently became the first one to reopen after having been shuttered by Superstorm Sandy didn't faze a group of kindergarteners at the Jersey Shore."
The school kids were amazed that Gov. Christie visited them for story time by flying on a helicopter on Wednesday.
As reported by the Houston Chronicle, "Christie's sweet ride to the Stone Harbor Elementary School wowed students there, who also asked lots of questions about President and Mrs. Obama."
Gov. Christie called First Lady Michelle Obama, "enchanting."
