Russia Expels USAID Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Tue, Sep 18, 2012, 06:28 PM
Aid Expulsion.jpgDespite Russian President Vladimir Putin’s glowing endorsement of President Barack Obama’s $1 billion re-election bid for the White House, Moscow expelled USAID, a U.S. State Department agency, allegedly due to its links with oil tycoon George Soros, who finances global Left Wing militant movements, including the International Crisis Group.

A few months ago the Dallas Blog posted a story showing a Web site link that disclosed USAID sponsors pro-Obama foreign policy research reports for the International Crisis Group and is actively engaged in stirring up territorial disputes between China and Japan.

According to the Houston Chronicle, “the United States said Tuesday it is ending the U.S. Agency for International Development’s operations in Russia after a Kremlin demand that the aid organization leave the country, dealing a blow to President Barack Obama’s policy of ‘resetting’ relations between Washington and Moscow.”

Victoria Nuland, State Department spokeswoman, informed reporters that Russia sent a letter saying it refused Washington’s help. She didn’t explain the reason for the closure, but Putin has long criticized President Barack Obama’s neo-conservative foreign policy initiatives.
