Likely GOP nominee for President, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, has been very generous sending some of his campaign donations to Republican candidates running for U.S. Congress and Senate.
According to Politico, “unlike President Barack Obama, who’s drawn complaints for being stingy with his campaign cash, Mitt Romney, is spreading the wealth among his GOP congressional allies.” Last month, Romney’s largest grossing committee steered at least $3 million to boost GOP congressional candidates who would share the ballot with him, as disclosed by finance reports filed last week. As reported by Politico, “Romney Victory, a joint fundraising committee set up by Romney’s campaign and the Republican National Committee, on the last day of July transferred $1.5 million each to the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.” Meanwhile, Obama’s $1 billion re-election campaign has not yet delivered any cash this year to any Democratic Party Congressional and Senate candidates.
