Obama Donor Plays Key Role for Univision Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Sun, Jul 22, 2012, 06:15 PM
Thousands upon thousands of Mexicans are marching in protest against their President-elect Pena Nieto. They condemn Nieto and his PRI Party for paying off influential Mexican News TV stations to produce favorable news coverage of his campaign, while conducting unfavorable news coverage of his opponents.

The marketing campaign was effective and now one of Obama’s billionaire donors, Haim Saban, appears to be utilizing the same strategy to boost the Latino vote for his $1 billion re-election bid to the White House.

According to Wikipedia, “on June 27, 2006, Saban Capital Group led a group of investors for Univision Communications, the largest Spanish-language media company in the United States. Other investors in the Saban-led group were Texas Pacific Group of Fort Worth, Texas and Thomas H. Lee Partners. The group was successful in acquiring Univision with a bid valued at$13.7 billion (USD).”

Saban sponsors a Left-Wing Super-Pac to support Obama.

As reported by Politico, “Saban made his donation through a joint fundraising committee called Unity 2012, to which he gave $1 million, which was divided between Priorities USA Action, as well as the super PAC backing the party’s Senate candidates, Majority PAC, and the one supporting Democratic candidates for the lower chamber, House Majority PAC.”

Saban is also encouraging Obama to wage war against Iran. Wikipedia quotes him as saying that, “when I see (Iranian President Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad, I see Hitler. They speak the same language. His motivation is also clear: the return of the Mahdi is a supreme goal.”
