President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela seeks to promote global Marxism and contends that the likely GOP nominee for US president, Mitt Romney, poses as a major stumbling block to a new Socialist era.
The Houston Chronicle reports that, “Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez has signaled a preference in the U.S. presidential campaign by comparing Mitt Romney to his own challenger.”
Chavez faces a tough re-election bid in the next month, but nonetheless, he seeks to endorse President Barack Obama’s re-election bid.
According to the Houston Chronicle, “in a campaign speech Saturday night, Chavez equated the agenda of his challenger, Henrique Capriles, with that of Romney, saying both men represent the callously selfish capitalist elite.”
Chavez even boasted of his friendship of ‘shared mutual interests’ with Obama as he described him as “a good guy.”
