|Irving Energy Summit Attracts Texas GOP leaders|

Some people might be curious about attending a meeting where a group of leading Texas conservative politicians and business executives gather to discuss their ‘shared mutual interests’ about their antipathy towards President Barack Obama.
The Houston Chronicle reports that, “some state GOP leaders vow to keep fighting the feds over what they call ‘aggressive’ regulations in the energy sector that drives the Texas economy.”
Several energy corporate executives and state lawmakers spoke about the oil and gas industry and other intriguing topics Thursday at the Irving Energy Summit.
According to the Houston Chronicle, “State Rep. Linda Harper-Brown of irving said there should be a balance between resources and federal regulations to make sure business stay and even expand.”
The Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute hosted Thursday’s summit in a a suburb of Dallas.
