It's the Fourth Quarter, 5:00 showing on the clock. Ball on the 20. 80 yards to go in a close game. Either team can win. It all comes down to execution and who wants it worse. That sums up where we are in the GOP U.S. Senate primary runoff. Early voting begins next Monday for the July 31 U.S. Senate runoff between David Dewhurst and Ted Cruz. The two candidates are holding a televised debate tonight at 7 pm from the Victory Park studios, hosted by Belo and WFAA Television and broadcast statewide. For both candidates, this is a critical opportunity to address Texas voters. Dallas Blog contributor William Lutz will be following the debate on twitter (@willlutz) using the hashtag #belodebate. WFAA anchor John McCaa will host the debate, with questions from Brad Watson of WFAA and Gromer Jeffers, Jr. of the Dallas Morning News. The debate will be broadcast on WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas, KVUE TV in Austin, KENS in San Antonio, KHOU in Houston, and on Texas Cable News (TxCN). In other Texas markets, the debate feed is made available to all stations, and radio can broadcast the debate. Click here for more detail. WFAA has also posted debate preparation pictures to its website and a full story on the upcoming debate.
