Apparently, ‘Enemy Number One’ for global environmentalists appears to be the world’s richest woman, an Australian mining tycoon, who mocks her rivals as ‘eco-nuts.’ She may soon become a true heroine of conservatives from all over the globe.
According to the BBC News, “the richest woman in the world, according to a respected business magazine, is not Oprah Winfrey, Queen Elizabeth II or L’Oreal heiress Liliane Bettencourt. It’s a relatively unknown Australian mining magnate. So who exactly is Gina Rinehart?”
Ms. Rinehart is noted for comments that reveal her business acumen and conservative political philosophy. When a fashion magazine asked her to describe beauty, she answered, “beauty is an iron mine.”
According to the BBC, “with an estimated net personal wealth of $29.3 billion, Rinehart has in recent years gone from being Australia’s richest woman to arguably the world’s.”
She considers her intellectual hero, free market economist Milton Friedman.
