President Barack Obama is facing some much-needed scrutiny by hiring a dog trainer, who earned an over $100,000 a year salary. Her job simply consisted of getting Bo, the White House dog, to roll over upon request.
Bo receives taxpayer-supported accommodations so he can eat dog food that’s fit for a king. He even has his own dietician, beautician, photographer, masseuse and pooper-scooper as part of his entourage.
Bo is enjoying the lap of luxury amidst the travails of the Obama Recession.
Politico reports that, “a new study suggests that the Obama family’s four-legged companion is a political liability for President Obama.”
A George Washington University study of political pets said, “in times of war or scandal, dogs are welcome public companions, but not so in periods of economic hardship.”
According to Politico, “using ‘sytematic analysis of voting behavior’ and a ‘voluminous library of compelling insider accounts,’ the study concludes that president pets are ‘an important political force.’”
So it leads one to wonder, how long will it take until Obama sends Bo to the dog pound, after he discovers his pet is causing him to lose votes?
