An Anglican vicar opens a Facebook page where he posts vulgar photos of his body piercings and bad-mouths going to church and claims, “sin is fun.”
According to the Daily Mail of London, “a Church of England vicar being investigated by senior clerics after complaints by parishioners that he used ‘abhorrent’ language and posted the comment: “Sin is fun!” The vicar of Doncaster, Canon Dr. Paul Shackerley, faces allegations he was cussing on the social networking site, mocking religious ceremonies and complaining about having to attend church on a Sunday. As reported by the Daily Mail, “senior Anglican clerics are probing the allegations after a formal complaint was lodged against Dr. Shackerley, who is accussed of using a string of four letter words.” Apparently, the remarks are “liked” by eight of Dr. Shackerley’s Facebook friends, which include Doncaster Minister’s director of music that had prompted more foul language in a response from a separate contributor.
