Sen. Reid Calls Junkmail ‘Very Important’ Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Thu, Apr 19, 2012, 06:27 PM
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nv.) believes he is in-tune with ordinary citizens. Hence, he’s declared that junk mail is “very important,” even though millions of trees get chopped down in the process.

Fox News reports that, “Senate Majority Leader is making a top-to-bottom case for prompt passage of a Postal Service reform bill that if defeated, he says, would deny seniors their beloved junk mail.

Reid said on the Senate floor on Wednesday that, “I’ll come home tonight to my home in Washington and there’ll be some mail there. A lot of it is what some people refer to as junk mail, but for people who are sending out mail, it’s very important.”

According to Fox News, “the bipartisan bill includes restructuring pension plans for Postal Service employees, and introduces new technology and other efforts meant to help the agency stop losing money.”

If the legislation fails, Reid said 30,000 post offices will close, many in rural regions without Internet service and where many senior citizens rely on mail to receive their medicine. Reid is hoping the Senate vote on the bill in the next few weeks.

Sen Reid's continued idiocy is truly amazing. Every day seems to be another step into dementia.
