American drivers may soon pay $5 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline as forecasted by oil executives. President Barack Obama’s new stringent regulations on the oil industry along with his tax and spend stimulus policies may drive the price of gas to record heights. According to the Houston Chronicle, “the former president of Shell Oil Co. told fuel fix today that $5-a-gallong gas is inevitable unless the U.S. economy slows, forcing rising gasoline prices down.” John Hofmeister contends that gasoline prices seem likely to increase to historical levels due to rising tensions with The Houston Chronicle quotes Hoffmeister as saying that, “I predicted $5 gasoline by the end of 2012 two years ago. I see no reason to back down from that prediction. I hope I am wrong. All the factors are out there for a supply crunch.” Hoffmeister is founder of the non-profit Citizens for Affordable Energy. written by Ken Dickson , February 19, 2012 Obama promised a "war on energy" when he arrived so the public should not be surprised@ what is happening to their electricity supply, closing coal plants, @ shutting down the gulf production. The Feds did everything to delay the cleanup & the prevention of disaster in the blowout to destroy our energy industry & "the blind public" just goes along with power plants being closed, refineries shut downs, drilling stoppage, etc $5 gas is just one more stop to destroy this country! Remember this in November!

written by Ken Dickson , February 21, 2012 Penny, this guy has done nothing but shut down drilling, refineries, coal plants, etc @ the expense & pain of the American people. His forein policy is a joke & he "rails" about foreign oil! We have energy in this country which can be produced, but Obama's "war on energy" has killed some 150000 jobs, & countless jobs that feed off the oil & gas industry in favor of a "green energy" program that does not work, is wrought with fraud, & can never replace what is proven with fossil fuels. Fact, not fiction. Yes, this is OBAMA'S fault! Write comment
