Last week, New York police officers seized a bag containing 16kg. (35.15lb) of cocaine at the United Nations headquarters. According to the BBC News, "the drugs were in a bag printed with a version of the UN symbol which arrived at the organization's mailroom, setting off a security alert."Paul Browne, a spokesman, claims the illicit drugs were delivered by accident, since there was no name or address on the shipment sent from Mexico City through Cincinnati, he noted. As reported by the BBC, "the white bag raise suspicions when it was being scanned because a poor imitation of a UN logo had been stamped on it, apparently in an attempt to pass it off as official baggage." The drug had been hidden in hollowed-out notebooks inside the bag, Gregory Starr, UN undersecretary-general for safety and security, informed reporters. written by rosieboy , February 01, 2012 To Rosiegirl: Looks like the Arms for Cocaine did replace Food for Oil program. Or, let's call it the Arms for Narcotics. Looks like the UN has has some issues for years with those UN Docs and Nurses too. A google search found in April 2009 FOX news and Dallasblog broke that story to.
