MSNBC's Financier – Mitt Romney Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Thu, Dec 29, 2011, 08:38 PM
Are you curious how former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney became a very wealthy man? Apparently, his investment company, Bain Capital, is bankrolling the President Barack Obama White House news network, MSNBC, a leftist cable news network that is floundering in TV ratings compared with Fox News.

Politico reports that, “starting on last night’s Ed Show with Ed Schultz, MSNBC anchors are now disclosing their parent company’s ties to Bain Capital, the buyout firm co-founded by Mitt Romney.”

For an approximate $3.5 billion – a business relationship that MSNBC anchors have not disclosed until recently, according to a search of the Nexis and TVEyes databases dating back to 2008.

According to Politico, “we’ve reached out to MSNBC to ask why anchors only started disclosing the connection now, but have yet to hear back. But the connection certainly doesn’t seem to be providing Romney with much favorable coverage.”

Schultz’ said on last night’s show that, “Mitt Romney’s history at Bain Capital is not going to help his image as a job creator. Now we want to disclose that NBC Universal and Bain Capital are each a part owner of the Weather Channel. Bain Capital’s main business model is buying companies like American Pad and Paper and restructuring them. In many instances, Bain turned a profit by strip-mining these companies. American AMPAD is what it’s known. The stock was driven down and the company went bankrupt. They fired hundreds of workers along the way.”

This is "scarey"! MSNBC's entire foremat is LEFTIST! Ed Schultz never has anything to say on a positive note unless it involves Dems & "job creating" seems to be creating jobs for the likes of him & the others no one listens to, however Romney maybe needs to "pull the chain" considering how biased to the left MSNBC's ilk is!...if this is true!

BAIN CAPITAL is not about creating jobs, or even creating businesses at all. It is a VENTURE CAPITAL corporation that takes a financial position on the CHEAP in highly distressed businesses, and sends in a team of hatchetmen to cut off whatever financial drains can be killed, and to cut off litigation processes by virtue of having powerful money sources and lawyer teams. They do NOT run businesses, they SALVAGE and the SELL them....and they do not CARE at all what happens as long as BAIN makes a profit on their investment. They DO NOT RUN BUSINESSES for the long haul....and thus JUST like salvaging the Olympic Games, Romney merely used money and power to kick out corruption, control cash, and pull off an EVENT....not a long running business operation.

The MEDIA and his CAMPAIGN have misused the words "turnaround manager" to appear to be some kind of ubermagician of management and financial acumen...but in fact, they take trash, and make it where it can get held together long enough to sell off for a profit.

That has NO EXPERIENCE to bear on taking the US economy and industrial job situation and "fixing" it. But they have the RHETORIC of "success" with NO SPECIFICS at all.

You could equate it with HOPE and CHANGE you can BELIEVE IN.

Nothing more.

Romney is a phoney baloney.
