The European Union intends to abolish playgrounds since jungle gyms for kids may not meet stringent safety, environmental and health regulations imposed by un-elected bureaucrats in Brussels, Belgium. The Daily Mail of London reports that, “playground stripped bare by council jobsworths after play equipment falls foul of EU health and safety rules.” Prime Minister David Cameron, a Conservative, is a strong supporter of EU regulations being imposed on Great Britain. According to the Mail, “the most serious accident any parent can remember at the Allergate playground is the odd grazed knee. Yet, the swings, roundabout, see-saw and slide have all been taken away after falling foul of Eurocrats in Brussels and their over-zealous safety regulations.” Here’s an example of an EU playground safety regulation: “see-saws – motion shall be progressively restrained towards the extremities of movement so that now sudden stop or sudden reversal of motion can occur.” To read the entire article from the Daily Mail of London, link here: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
