Let Me Tell You (or Not) About the Birds & The Bees Print E-mail
by James Reza    Wed, Nov 9, 2011, 10:48 AM

All through my working career and even now in the music business I’m still in, I’ve seen lots of crazy and wild love bug interactions between men and women.  I’ve worked with men and women who seemed happily married and all of a sudden they start fooling around with someone at the workplace and bam! He or she is no longer married and they move on with their new found love and adios wife, kids, the house, etc.

In other work place situations I’ve seen where married company owners, supervisors, mostly male, find themselves being charmed by alluring female workers for a variety of reasons one can only imagine.  By the same token, I’ve seen men due to their supervisory status at work, grope or make unsavory and sexual advances at women who are under their authority. Most often, women who are single or divorce with children endure all that sexual harassment in fear of losing their job, which is sad indeed.  As the father of 2 fine-looking daughters, I’d get PO big time if they worked under those circumstances.  If one of my daughters would tell me they were being harassed at work, I definitely would go and have a talk with whoever was harassing them.  Thankfully, my daughter, Cecilia, an RN, works in the delivery room at JPS Hospital and my other daughter, Michele, works for a banking firm as a teller and data entry technician.  Neither of my daughters has ever told me they’ve been harassed at their work place.

Right after high school I worked as a mobile home builder.  Almost all of my co-workers were men, thus, I didn’t see any hanky panky in that work environment.  Then, I became a linotype operator (a trade I learned in high school), for a large printing firm.  Again, most of my coworkers were men.  However, the typesetting industry soon gave way to computers, and I flowed right along with the new typesetting technology.  Suddenly, I found myself working alongside women.  As I recall, some of the women were downright beautiful and friendly as heck.  What can I tell you, though married with 3 kids, I, as a young man, like so many others, started to goof around with the ladies at the workplace. Able, to somewhat control my emotions, I nonetheless enjoy fooling around with the opposite sex.  Some of you might be saying, “James, shame on you! Married with 3 kids and a wife, how could you be such a flirt?”  Folks, I’m just being honest.  Furthermore, I’m not gay, and though married, I love talking and being friends with one of God’s most beautiful creations — women!  To this day, after many years I still keep in touch by phone or email with many of my former female coworkers.

OK James, some might ask, where are you taking us with your opening comments?  My friends, I like so many of you am bored with the overkill coverage by the media of the Herman Cain (a Republican candidate) accusations that he sexually harassed several women.  Just recently, another woman who seems that she can’t get her story straight, alleged that he fondle her when he promised her a job some 13 years ago.  What troubles me about this gal (Sharon Bialek) is why didn’t she come out with her allegations when Mr. Cain ran for a Georgia Senate seat in 2004, or when he announced his candidacy for the Presidency as a Republican months ago.  Or, when his approval rating was at 2%.  No, it seems, she waited until he became the front-runner that motivated her to come out with her allegations.  At this juncture I have no Republican candidate I’m supporting.  To be honest, I thought Gov. Perry was going to be my candidate, but his inept debate performances and his decision to grant in-state tuition to the children of illegal immigrants made me change my mind.

What I personally have found so disturbing in all this Herman Cain fiasco, who I as of yet have not thrown my support for, has been the hypocrisy of the media in their bias reporting.  According to the Media Research Center, ABC, CBS, and NBC hit Cain sexual allegation stories 50 times in less than four days. In contrast, over a similar period these networks mostly ignored far more substantial and serious scandals relating to President Bill Clinton.  These same networks only released one story of Paula Jones sexual harassment charges.  Three mere reports of when Kathleen Willey a White House aid, who on March 15, 1998 alleged President Clinton sexually assaulted her on November 29, 1993, during his first term as President.  Ms. Willey was also subpoenaed to testify in the Paula Jones sexual harassment case.  For Juanita Broaddrick, who came forward in February 1999 to say Clinton raped her, only three stories followed charges appearing only in the Wall Street Journal.  The women who accused President Clinton of sexual misconduct were dragged through the dirt by this same media bunch now besmirching Mr. Cain, by defining them as trailer park trash and other belittling names.

It should be pointed out that all these women (Jones, Willey, and Broaddrick) offered their names.  They weren’t anonymous.  Additionally, the accusations of assault and rape go far beyond what’s being mentioned with the Cain scandal.  Then, let’s don’t forget the Lewinsky scandal when President Clinton pointed his finger at the American people on TV and told a bald face lie.

Almost always, the mainstream media will cover up the sex shenanigans of Democrats.  They praise the Democrats in their ability with their help of course, to cover up or lie about their sex misdeeds and are still able to help them get elected.  In other words they tell you all you want to know about the birds and the bees when it pertains to Republicans, but hush up when it applies to Democrats.

What many of us are witnessing with this Herman Cain fiasco is a modern day lynching of a black man by the KKK mainstream media because he happens to be a Republican and who as of yet not been convicted of sexual misconduct in a court of law!

Mr Herman Cain scares the pooh out of many. He is a self made man who unlike Sharpton, Jackson, or even Obama is the picture of success. They prove that the color of their does not exempt them from being worst racists than even David Duke. Mr. Cain, like a few other members of Congress, and private citizens refuse to be forced to not succeed, while Sharpton, Obama, Jackson Wright and many more try to keep the black population under their control. Because they do not have plantations does not keep them from being the real slave owners.

Oh, the Times we live in!

written by Joe Skalamera , November 10, 2011

"Power Corrupts, Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely!" Required reading in English Literature classes during my college days. This book made a profound impression on me as I moved through my life. God will judge Mr. Cain as God will judge all of us. The hypocrisy of the liberal Media, those outlets mentioned and those not, is as certain as the sun rising in the East. The liberal media has killed journalism. They are not Reporters or Newscasters, they are executioners encouraged and funded by people with far more "Absolute Power" than a Herman Cain. They are the "Nazi Propaganda Machine" of the 21st Century, but better and more powerful, definitely more funded by George Soros and his friends. Their god is money and power. There is no loyalty to country...any country. They will stop at nothing to further their agenda. They start wars, minipulate financial markets, ruin honest competitors and crucify those that threathen them. Herman Cain is as much a victim as anyone who was been sexually harassed or abused. "Two wrongs never make a right." The thing is.......we're all human. "All have sinned...!" No matter who the Republican candidate will be the demonic machine of the Universal Power Brokers will not let up. Mitt Romney, Newt, Herman Cain, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, etc. etc. if there is "dirt" somewhere the liberal left will exploit it; and if there is no dirt --- they will create it. We're losing folks! Honest, God Believers with family and patriotic
values are just cannon foder, collateral damage. The liberal Power Brokers created Obama just like they created Clinton. And, when Obama has served his purpose the Power Brokers will create another puppet. They divide us and then conquer us just like they are doing now. Herman Cain became a bigger threat than they expected....enter the Executioners...ABC NBC CBS CNN MSNBC and on and on and on. Divide and Conquer. Whoever the Repulican candidate, this conservative independent voter will vote for them. A vote for Obama is a vote for the Power Brokers, the George Soros market minipulators. The Executioners! God Bless America The Beautiful....and give us the wisdom and the power, demonstrated by our love for one another, to overcome and to defeat the Beast...the Power Brokers! The reason we all sin is because we were created with free choice; and we don't control our temptations. It is sad, indeed, when someone you trust is accused of unlawful sexual acts.

However, to me, everything that has come out about Cain seems to be true. Why they waited this long, to speak out, is beyond my knowledge.

But as a musician, most of my life, I can tell you that our past, being a target of "ALL" opponents, is one huge reason why "I DON'T RUN FOR PRESIDENT."

The birds and the bees article up there, is one example of what the author is trying to do. He is doing what he condemns the media of doing. He calls Cain's actions "OVER-KILL." Then he goes on to tell about my boy Bill. Don't you believe "THAT'S" an over-kill? The Republicans spent all their time trying to oust Clinton (because he got a piece of face) that they forgot about our "NATIONAL SECURITY." They didn't pay attention to the facts about the plots on the horizon and the WTC was destroyed; killing thousands.

Ladies and gentlemen, that's the world we live in. Some only see what they want to be true. Others see their mistakes and "TRY TO FIX THEM."

written by Charlie Alvarado , November 10, 2011

That goes for you also Joe. You complain about what is said about your party; then you turn around and try to knock the other side down as far as you can. Whether it's true "OR" not.

written by Charlie Alvarado , November 10, 2011

What a coincidence. I just received this from the Associated Press through MSN.

I "RALLY" don't like to do this about our presidents, but y'all don't leave me any other choice.

"Nixon shed no light on Watergate tape gap to grand jury"

The president you're trying to bring down, tried to protect those involved.

Excerpt from the article.

Historians won public access to the transcript over the objections of the Obama administration, which argued in part that too many officials from that era are still alive for secret testimony involving them to be made public.

You should be ashamed of abusing your rights as Americans.

James, I am sure you are right I wouldn't know because I have not watched a network news or cable news show in years. I get what I need from the internet which allows me to skip obviously biased stories and look for the truth. I like Reuters and I can find some value in the BBC but the American companies are lost causes. I did see an interesting story today that noted all of the complaints are coming from Chicago. Coincidence?

written by Charlie Alvarado , November 11, 2011

I rest my case. (for now)
People skip what they call biased stories and thus don't have "ALL THE FACTS."
Whether they agree with them "OR" not.

By the way, yesterday was the Marine Corps 236th birthday.

"SEMPER FI," my brothers.....

One more thing. "Happy veterans-day" (today) to those who served our country in the armed forces.

written by Pope1944 , November 13, 2011

Charlie said "However, to me, everything that has come out about Cain seems to be true. Why they waited this long, to speak out, is beyond my knowledge."
Why does it seem to be true Charlie? This man has worked in many places and through many different careers including the Federal Reserve in Kansas City. But the only claims are from one place? Doesn't that seem strange to you? It does to me. I have seen work places where the "sexual harassment" claim becomes part of the culture of the company. The fact that two of these women were paid off means nothing.
Companies weigh the cost of a law suit against the cost of a settlement all the time, it has nothing to do with guilt or innocence. Where are the accuser's from Godfather's or any other place he worked? Do you think this was just a problem is one work place? Never happened before never happened again? I don't think so, and apparently neither do the American people as Cain keeps rising in the polls.
I could care less about what Kennedy, Nixon or Clinton did, that's history. What I do care about is that our current President is driving this country into the ground and I can't wait to vote for someone else, anyone else in 2012.

written by Charlie Alvarado , November 13, 2011

P asked:
Why does it seem to be true Charlie?

I'm not judging anyone. But some of the allegations "DID" happen in the past. They "DID" pay-off some of the girls. (victims) The rest just "SEEMS" to be true. He's still innocent until proven guilty if it ever comes to that.

And it's your right to vote for whom you wish. And even if you don't care about the past, you are on the side of those who "DO" bring up the past. You agree with them.

And you're mistaken, Our president is "NOT" the one who is hurting our country. It's those in congress who want him to fail. No matter what the cost to America and it's citizens.

I don't agree with everything our president does or promotes, but he has done some great things and you "HATERS" have "NEVER" given him credit.

written by Pope1944 , November 14, 2011

Charlie I'm getting really tired of your constant use of the word "HATER". I don't HATE anyone. In fact I haven't HATED anyone since my older brother ruined my train set when I was six.
I have a deep disappointment in the American public that they would elect a freshman Senator with no real experience in politics. IN fact he was a creation of the Chicago Democratic machine and he really had no business being elected to anything. But he promised Hope and Change and people bought into that promise. His results are far from Hope although they have certainly brought change.
I hope that we , the American people, will carefully consider our choices in 2012 becasue, in my opinion, we did not consider things well in 2008. We just wanted a change and the romance of electing Obama was overwhelming. Well now people are seeing that romance is not much of a qualification for high public office.
Just to be clear. Its not just the President I want to see out of office, it is EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF CONGRESS who has voted for programs that have increased the debt and who have shown no proclivity for operating the country on any kind of reasonable budget.

written by Charlie Alvarado , November 14, 2011

P, when you say something that is not true, and you didn't know it was not true, then you made a mistake. But if you knew what you said was not true, then you told a lie.

Everything points to the "FACT": that you "HATE" our president. I was trained and cleared for secret information in the Marine Corps; and I know when someone is trying to hoodwink people.

Our president was elected by the Republicans who hate him. In the primaries, they knew my girl Hillary was going to become our president if she won the Democratic primary. So many Republicans changed sides and voted for Obama which he barely won. But the tables turned on election day and the Republicans can't admit that they had a huge part in his election. Those are the facts.

You mention some things you don't like about our president and that's your right. However, you hate every thing else he does even if it's the right thing to do for America.

You shouldn’t be disappointed in the American people, they did the right thing. But you are correct in hating what congress is doing to stop our president from succeeding, even when it's the right thing to do for "ALL" Americans.

written by Charlie Alvarado , November 14, 2011

P, I need to pass this along to you. I have asked you before not to use that user name. It means something important to me. You claim it was given to you by your friends.

Well, last night I was going through my 1952 high school year book. I was viewing the band section, of which I was a member, and came across a photo of a friend of mine. He is Chicano but he had a very dark skin color. Very black. We, "HIS FRIENDS," named him "BLONDIE."

Perhaps your friends had the same idea?

written by Pope1944 , November 15, 2011

Charlie, my friends call me Pope because I'm infallible.

written by Charlie Alvarado , November 16, 2011

P, If that's the case, then they should call you God. He's the only one that's perfect.
You're kidding yourself.

If your friends really believe you're infallible, then you should change your hang-out.

However, you are trampling with a respected title in God's church. You are being disrespectful and should correct it before the thief comes to visit you one night.

1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 (NIV) "for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape."

written by Pope1944 , November 17, 2011

Charlie, you have two problems:
1. You make the assumption that I believe in your God and your bible
2. You really can't take a joke

Try lightening up Charlie, you'll enjoy life more.

written by Charlie Alvarado , November 17, 2011

Actually P,
#1 to infinity>
You're the one with the problems if you don't believe in God. (In America you have that right)
That's why you "HATE" God's people.
And I don't joke about God and my country. I took this oath when I was 17.
"I (state your name) do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all "ENEMIES", foreign and "DOMESTIC"; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same and that I will obey the orders of the "PRESIDENT" of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to the regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me "GOD"....

written by FMacias , November 21, 2011

Charlie seems to be the only one making sense here. I am an ex-serviceman like he is. I grew up loving this country and was thought to respect the presidency. Some of you guys may know the word but you have lost the meaning of it.
If the president's office was shown more respect by republicans maybe something could be done up there.
Big difference between Cain and Clinton. Clinton appears not to have forced anyone into sexual acts where as Cain appears to have forced himself.
Make no mistake. Obama was voted in because of backlash against Bush and his policies. When his admin lied to us about WPMs in Iraq...that was the end for him.
I'm not crazy about Obama but if you guys don't find a good candidate/leader soon, us democrats are going to have us another president

written by stop pretending , December 16, 2011

I know for a fact that Joe Skalamera is jus as "corrupt" as any other politician . I do not understand why he trashes all the news agencies. If they dig into his life and expose him I wonder what he would do? He hate Obama basically because he's jealous of any man that balances work and family together and is successful at it. Obama didn't f up the country . He is living proof that you can overcome people who say "no you can't".
