Democrats Launch 'Super PAC' Attack Ads on GOP Rep. Canseco Print E-mail
by Tom McGregor    Sun, Apr 24, 2011, 12:16 am

Ads Canseco.jpgU.S. Rep. Francisco Canseco (R.-Tx.) may just be a freshman Congressman to his fellow House Republicans, but the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee consider him ‘enemy number one’ to the Pelosi leftist establishment on Capitol Hill. Accordingly, Democratic House members have just launched a “Super Pac,” that permits massive expenditures from undisclosed donors to air vicious attack ads against Canseco.

The Houston Chronicle reports that, “the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee began airing radio advertisements, in both English and Spanish, in the 23rd congressional district of Texas underscoring Canseco’s support for the House Republican budget bill.”

In the commercial, a radio announcer says, “did you know Congressman Francisco Canseco voted to end Medicare forcing seniors to pay $12,500 for private insurance, without guaranteed coverage? Tell Canseco to keep his hands off our Medicare.”

According to the Houston Chronicle, “Scott Yeddell, a Canseco campaign spokesman, called the DCCC claim ‘care tactics and demagoguery. Congressman Canseco did not vote to end Medicare. We are trying to go down a path to strengthen and preserve it for future generations,’ Yedell said.”

Last week, the budget bill passed along strict party lines, 235-189 in Congres, with Republicans contending the bill would cut $4.4 trillion out of budget deficits.

Whatever happened to straight unbiased reporting? The words this reporter uses obviously slant the message...words like "vicious" and "massive" and "leftist"...geez! If you stick to the facts, then yes, it's true he voted to end medicare...that's the bare honest truth. But yet, the reporter tries to hide the fact with "demagoguery" to present a false view. Will we ever get back to the days of honest reporting? Walter!
