Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik does not enjoy listening to Rush Limbaugh, but his comments about conservative talk radio might actually backfire and help Jared Loughner’s defense team make a persuasive argument to the courtroom that their client does not deserve the death penalty since he’s “mentally unbalanced” and Sheriff Dupnik agrees with this assessment
KGUN Channel 9 News Tucson, Arizona reports that, “Could Pima County Sheriif Clarence Dupnik be inadvertently be helping murder suspect Jared Loughner build his defense? That’s the claim from a few legal pundits.” KGUN sought out legal experts to determine whether this claim holds up. When Sheriff Dupnik announced he assumed Jared Loughner is mentally unbalanced and potentially influenced by sharp angry political talk; conservative commentators denounced Sheriff Dupnik’s remarks. According to KGUN, “now a legal pundit on Fox News is suggesting Dupnik’s comments on Loughner’s mind may help Loughner build an insanity defense. Fox News Contributor Peter Johnson Jr. said, “the statements he made were based on the investigation.” Steve Doocy, a Fox News anchor, added, “exactly, they’d been through the house and stuff like that so basically what you’re saying is by virtue of the fact the sheriif is out there saying, you know the rhetoric and all that stuff, he’s giving him a motive. The kid say this stuff, heard it … fomented, next thing you know he does this.” Tnen Johnson concluded, “… and that he was crazy.” To read the entire article from from KGUN Channel 9 News, link here: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

written by Harry Shaw , January 14, 2011 As a Republican Canidate for Pima County in 2008 I can asure you that Jared Loughner had planned this assualt on Congresswoman Gifford. Having ammo in strategic places shows he wanted an avenue for escape. By planning event he shows NO mental illnes and knew right from wrong. Write comment
