Friends of Wednesday‘s Child “Belonging” Luncheon
Presented by Friedman & Feiger and Featuring Guest Speaker

Honoring Myrna Schlegel & Lance & Julie Brennan
Presented by Friedman & Feiger Attorneys at Law, the luncheon will feature a “Heart of the Art” Silent Auction, lunch, book signing and speech by Leigh Anne Tuohy, (the mother who was played by Sandra Bullock in the award-winning movie, The Blind Side), a Super Bowl and Naomi jewelry raffle, and a holiday performance by the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas.
Chairmen are Janelle and Larry Friedman. Gloria Campos will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.
Myrna Schlegel, a long-time supporter of foster children, will be receive the “Gloria” Award. Julie and Lance Brennan, who most embody the spirit of belonging to assure change in the lives of North Texas foster children, will receive the “Belonging” Award.
The “Heart of the Art” Silent Auction features beautiful art works by local artists and celebrities such as Phil Romano, Emmitt Smith, Lynn Dealey, Lisa Boyd, Roz Campisi and Molly DeVoss. Each piece of art features a heart embodied in the piece. The raffle will feature a Super Bowl Game Day Experience and a custom, handcrafted piece of diamond and ruby jewelry valued at $5,000 created especially for Friends of Wednesday’s Child by Naomi.

Why: With the recession, the number of foster children in North Texas has increased dramatically. One out of every 207 children in North Texas is a foster child. Friends of Wednesday’s Child provides hope and healing to North Texas children in foster care so that they can overcome pasts of abuse, abandonment and neglect.
