“K9s for KIDS” Benefits Diabetes Friendly Foundation

(DALLAS, TX -November 4, 2010) – The Diabetes Friendly Foundation is thrilled to host the inaugural “K9s for Kids” Benefit on Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 7:30 pm – 12:00 am at the Fashion Industry Gallery (FIG) located at 1807 Ross Avenue in Dallas, Texas.
The Foundation is pleased to announce that Mrs. Laura Leppert, Mrs. Yvonne Crum and Mrs. Jill Rowlett have graciously offered their support as Honorary Chairs. These women are strong advocates of health and Mrs. Leppert has been involved in health education with an emphasis on the diabetes community.
The evening will feature special performances by Jordyn Shellhart and Eric Paslay, Nashville’s hottest new recording artists. Dallas-based The Special Edition Band will open the evening with live music from 7:30 pm until midnight.Each of the five side-rooms at FIG will be devoted to a theme, with a special room dedicated to sponsors, in appreciation of their generosity.
In the Diabetes Alert Dog (“DAD”) Room, attendees can meet and see the DADs in action. The evening will include “diabetes friendly” cocktails available in the Wine & Martini Room along with heavy hors d’oeuvres. The Silent Auction begins at 7:30 pm and will end at 10:30 pm; DAD Sponsorships will be available following the Silent Auction.
Attendance at the “K9s for Kids” Benefit is open to the public by advance ticket purchase only. No walk-ins. Ticket prices are $125 and can be purchased on line at or by calling 214-559-7176.
