Metro-sexual males are men who act and appear more like women than men; but are still more likely to be heterosexual than homosexual. Apparently, a thief carried a so-called “man purse” into a bank robbery in Houston last week.

The Houston Chronicle reports that, “authorities are asking the public to help them identify a suspected thief who carried a ‘man purse’ into a bank and ordered a teller to stuff it with cash in west Houston more than a week ago.”

At approximately 10 a.m. on September 18, the heist occurred at a Chase Bank in the 8300 block of Westheimer near Dunvale.

The metro-sexual male walked into the bank, gave the teller a threatening note and claimed he was going to rob the bank. He then aimed a semi-automatic gun at the teller, gave the bank employee a dark-colored bag described as a ‘man purse’ and ordered the teller to fill it with cash.

According to the Chronicle, “the teller complied. The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was seen getting into a beige or gold-colored compact Toyota, possibly a late 90s model, that was driven by another man.”

No injuries had been reported. A surveillance camera at the bank captured the man’s image during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a metro-sexual male in his lat 30s. He stands at about 5 ft. 9 in. and his weight is about 190 pounds.

He appears to be slim with sunken cheeks. He was seen wearing a baseball cap backwards, rhinestone sunglasses, a button-down work shirt and sweat pants.

As reported by the Chronicle, “anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.”
