President Barack Obama is now blaming the Republican Party, not former President George W. Bush, for all of the nation’s ills, even though Democrats have a stranglehold of power in Congress and the Senate. According to Politico, “President Barack Obama used a rare news conference Friday to criticize Republicans for obstructing the country’s economic recovery, but he also lamented his failure to change the tone of the political discourse in Washington.” He demanded the GOP allow the Bush tax cuts to expire for the richest Americans, accusing the GOP of “holding middle-class tax relief because they’re insisting we’ve got to give tax relief to millionaires and billionaires.” Obama said, “we came into office with a different view. We believe in cutting taxes for middle-class families and small-business owners. We’ve done that.” As reported by the Washington Times, “during the 75-minute session, Obama also fielded a series of sensitive questions relating to Islam, including queries about a Florida pastor’s plans to burn Qurans and the proposal to build a mosque near ground zero in New York, where the World Trade Center towers once stood. As he answered with a call to heed the American tradition of religious tolerance, Obama also went out of his way to emphasize his own belief in Christianity – a faith poll shows many voters seem to doubt.” Yet, much of Obama’s solo event in the east Room was dominated by the economy, and his attempts to fix it with just eight weeks until mid-term elections where Democrats could suffer a serious drubbing, perhaps losing the House and even the Senate. He discussed his recent economic proposals, such as $180 billion in infrastructure spending and tax breaks. To read the entire article from the Washington Times, link here:

written by Ken Dickson , September 12, 2010 What a leader! Obama does not take any responsibility for being anti-business, much less the damage he has done to this country! Blame the GOP?...yes we have our faults & were "asleep @ the wheel", but his administration is the one which has more deficits than all the other presidents put together! I guess those observations are racist, but so what! He is a boob! Where did his fortune come from? Write comment
