The BBC News reports that, "Indonesian officials say the man they kiled in a raid on the outskirts of Jakarta on Tuesday is believed to have links to the group of alleged militants they captured last month in Aceh." Yet they have not been able to confirm that the dead corpse in Dulmatin, supposedly one of the pivotal members of the organization that helped to plan and carry out the terrorist attacks in Bali in 2002, killing 202 people, mostly foreigners. Dubbed the 'Genius of Jemaah Islamaiah (JI),' he has been on Indonesia's most wanted list for number of years. He is considered to be one of the few members of the militant group able to assemble and explode technically sophisticated bombs. According to the BBC, "there have been high hopes that it was Dulmatin who was killed in this raid. But Edward Aritonang, a spokesman for the Indonesian police, says they all have been able to confirm about the man who was killed is that he had links to the alleged militant training camp found in Aceh last month." Mr. Aritonang told reporters that, "he was the supplier of weapons and funding. He may have had even bigger roles in the group but for that's we have evidence for. We have evidence of the weapons and ammunition, and the flow of funding."
